Today I am over at Fistful Of Talent - focused on the issue of capping CEO pay.
Not a big fan to say the least. I'm also not a big fan of irresponsibility and hubris - which caused the problem in the first place. But if you think this type of legislation will only affect CEOs - think again. I believe it will affect more people, at different levels within an organization - and affect how you reward and recognize employees. It's rarely good for anyone when the government tries to manage a free market.

"I just don't like the government getting their nose in the tent. It
won't be long before we see the definition of "exceptional assistance"
go from taking bailout money to having greater than 80% of your
business come from government contracts (I can see the argument on
CSPAN happening) - 'cause if 80% of your business is coming from the
government - isn't that exceptional assistance? While I'm not too high
on our lawmakers IQ when it comes to the market - I do know their
olfactory senses work wonderfully well when the scent of money is in
the air."
