Yesterday was a tough one for Incentive Intelligence. Not only did I get my butt-kicked in the comments on my post for Fistful of Talent (link over and see what was said - don't agree with all the comments but it's great conversation) - but my buddy at HR Capitalist took some shots at incentive travel awards (here's the link to his post.) Wow... I just couldn't win.
But today I get to do something I actually LOVE TO DO! I'm going to Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC to present to a group on the incentive, reward, recognition and influence industry. I think I should have been a teacher 'cuz I'm just jazzed to do this. And bonus, my daughter who has been accepted there for the fall will be in the audience. I'm hoping to embarrass the crap out of her.
But not to leave you high-and-dry -
here's a link to a survey sponsored by OpenSymmetry - a consulting company that enables organizations of all sizes to maximize the value of their Sales Performance Management solution (home page here.)
From their description...
The survey will take just minutes of your time and all participants will receive a complimentary executive summary, as well as the complete survey results. Your company’s identity will remain confidential.
The survey results you receive will enable you to: Gain further insight into your own organization’s compensation practices Make valuable comparisons between your company’s compensation practices & market norms Enhance or redesign your current compensation policies and programs
Hop over and take the survey - this issue isn't going away and the information will be very helpful.
See you on the flip side!
Paul -
Just to be on the record, I liked your points on rewards travel. Just was adding an employee relations view to the mix. Good luck with the presentation tonight...
