Leveraging the Blogosphere!

Conversations - the new marketing (or just the old marketing enabled by internet tubes?)

You may remember that Joseph Jaffe used the power of the blogosphere to help market his book - "Join the Conversation" - and I helped with that endeveor by writing my review here. He called it "UNM2PNM" - Using New Marketing To Prove New Marketing.

Another experiment was being conducted concurrently with Mr. Jaffe's efforts. Gavin Heaton and Drew McLellan leveraged the input from 100 bloggers to produce "Age of Conversation."

The overriding topic is "The Conversation Age" -- where you take it is up to you.
The items are short - one 8.5" x 11" page -- it can be words, diagrams, photos (again up to you) If it is words - about 400, give or take a couple.
We write it quickly and get it out there. We publish electronically.
We make it available online for a small fee and we donate 100% of the proceeds to Variety the Children's Charity -- which serves children across the entire globe.

Well... they're baaack. This time with a twist.

This time they let the masses decide on the topic of the book - the topic is: "Why don’t they get it?" And to make it just that more interesting they added sub-themes around the idea of "why don't they get it."

And - yours truly will be penning a chapter - me and 275 of my closest friends. My sub-theme is around how to get people to start and drive conversations.

Who are the 275? I thought you'd never ask.
